Lexie Hull only needed four words to get Indiana Fever fans talking. The veteran guard took to social media on Friday to celebrate a personal milestone, posting a collection of media day photos while reflecting on her fifth season in the WNBA.
"Year 5 in the WNBA," Hull wrote.
The post quickly attracted plenty of attention from teammates and fans alike. But it was Sophie Cunningham's reaction that ended up stealing some of the spotlight.
Fever teammates filled the comments section
Hull's post quickly became a gathering place for several of her Indiana teammates. Caitlin Clark was among the first to respond, offering a simple but meaningful message.
"Proud of you," Clark wrote.
Kelsey Mitchell and rookie Raven Johnson took a more playful approach. Both teammates dropped the same nickname that Fever fans have embraced over the past year.
"Sexy Lexie."
The comments alone were enough to generate buzz. Then Cunningham chimed in.
Sophie Cunningham noticed one thing immediately
While Clark focused on the milestone and other teammates focused on Hull herself, Cunningham couldn't help but notice a different detail. The Fever veteran's attention immediately went to Hull's hairstyle.
"The hair is just perfect," Cunningham commented.
That short message quickly became one of the most discussed reactions under the post. Hull's photos featured her signature blonde hair styled in soft waves that framed her face and gave the media day images a polished but natural look.
Apparently, Cunningham approved.
The friendship Fever fans have grown to love
The interaction wasn't surprising to anyone who follows the Fever closely. Since Cunningham arrived in Indiana, she and Hull have developed one of the team's most entertaining friendships. Fans regularly joke that the two look like sisters.
The players have leaned into those comparisons themselves, often laughing about the similarities and occasionally coordinating looks away from the court. Whether it's social media banter, postgame moments or podcast appearances, Hull and Cunningham have become one of the most popular duos on the roster.
Hull continues to be a key piece for Indiana
While the social media interaction generated attention, Hull's impact on the court remains just as important. The fifth-year guard continues to serve as one of Indiana's most reliable role players and defensive specialists. She's averaging 5.7 points and 3.4 rebounds this season while helping the Fever establish itself as one of the league's most intriguing teams.
Her versatility and energy have made her a favorite among teammates and fans alike.

One comment that caught everyone's attention
There were plenty of supportive messages under Hull's post. Clark celebrated the accomplishment. Mitchell and Johnson embraced the nickname. But Cunningham's comment felt different.
It was exactly the type of observation a close friend would make. And judging by the reaction from Fever fans, plenty of people agreed with her assessment. Hull may have been celebrating Year 5 in the WNBA. But thanks to Sophie Cunningham, many fans ended up talking about her hair instead.
