LeBron and LeBron "Bronny" James Jr. continue to make sports history.
On Saturday, April 18, the pair became the first father-son duo to play in an NBA playoff game.
Both playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron, 41, and Bronny, 21, helped their team score a 107-98 victory over the Houston Rockets.

After the game, LeBron spoke with reporters about how it felt to play alongside his eldest son, whom he shares with wife Savannah James.
“There's a lot of crazy things that's been going on this year,” the forward said, per video from ESPN. “I mean, I was on the floor with my son in a playoff game. That's probably the craziest thing that's ever happened to me in my career.”
“It was just so cool to be out there with him,” LeBron continued, adding that Bronny’s brother Bryce, sister Zhuri, mom and grandma all watched the game.
“That's just insane. My mom gets to watch her son and her grandson during the playoffs. That's crazy,” the NBA champ said.
LeBron also made history during the game as the oldest player to record a double-double with points and assists in the playoffs, according to Real App.
He has been with the Lakers for eight seasons since 2018. LeBron previously played for the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Bronny, meanwhile, joined the Lakers in 2024 during the second NBA draft on a four-year contract with the team. He previously played one shortened season at the University of Southern California.
On April 6, LeBron appeared visibly frustrated with the second-year Laker after he threw him a bad pass during the team's 134-128 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Game commentators called out the father-son interaction during the broadcast. "I love that look. That was not just LeBron the veteran, that was also LeBron the dad!" the commentators said. "Watch his look at his son ... bounce pass!"

Weeks earlier, the duo made history with the first father-son assist in an NBA game when the Lakers took on the Brooklyn Nets.
At the time, Bronny hit a 3-pointer after a pass from his dad in the second quarter of the game, and the Lakers went on to a 116-99 victory.
Back in October 2024, LeBron and Bronny made NBA history as the first father and son to play together at an NBA game.
