A couple of months ago, LeBron James threw some serious shade at the city of Memphis, and he even urged the Memphis Grizzlies to move to Nashville. Those comments caused a minor stir, and some thought the comments were completely untrue.
Recently, James did an exclusive interview with Time magazine, and he talked about a number of topics. Among them were his unflattering comments about Memphis. He said that he was talking specifically about staying at a Hyatt hotel in Memphis and that he didn't mean any ill will toward the residents of the city.
The Grizzlies have played in Memphis since the 2001-02 season, and while they initially struggled following their move there from Vancouver, British Columbia, they started to become very competitive and made the playoffs seven consecutive times from 2011 to 2017.
While they went 25-57 this season, they will have the No. 3 in this month's NBA draft, which will give them the opportunity to add a franchise player to their roster. They may not play in the most entertaining city in America, but they could be able to field a competitive roster once again, not too long from now
