Lavonte David is going to go down as one of the best players to ever wear a Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniform. However, if he keeps the streak he has been on while doing the rounds post-playing career, he could become a Hall of Fame commentator as well.

In recent weeks, David has arguably been the most honest and consistent former player talking about the game of football. His most recent comments centered around a hot topic in the NFL: Jalen Hurts. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles has never gotten his flowers from pounders or fans, and David isn't helping matters.

In an episode of The Arena: Gridiron, David was speaking about the state of play as it surrounds Hurts, and he gave a rather blunt statement, saying, "Jalen Hurts was never a guy we worried about. Our game plan was always their offensive line, stopping the run."

While that is something you never want to hear from a player, especially a defensive captain, the results speak for themselves.

If Hurts was never gameplanned for, it is scary to look at the numbers and think what they would have looked like if they had. In six career starts against the Bucs, Hurts has averaged just 198 passing yards while throwing seven touchdowns and five interceptions. He has never been a major factor for the Bucs, and the numbers back that up.

So while it seems disrespectful, one can't argue against the results for the Bucs.
