One of the more unique aspects of the Ravens' offseason was Lamar Jackson's involvement in the process of finding the franchise's next head coach. The veteran quarterback said having a voice during the search gave him a new appreciation for everything that goes into hiring a coach.
Asked about his role in the process, Jackson said it was an eye-opening experience.
Jackson also thanked owner Steve Bisciotti and general manager Eric DeCosta for allowing him to be part of those discussions.
Among the candidates, Jackson said Jesse Minter's personality immediately stood out.
That impression hasn't changed since Minter officially took over.
As the Ravens begin a new era, Jackson's involvement in the process highlights the trust the organization has placed in its franchise quarterback.
