The Lakers acquired six new players through the draft, two-way contracts and Exhibit 10 deals.

Los Angeles drafted Baylor guard Cameron Carr with the No. 24 overall pick. Then, the Lakers signed Vanderbilt wing AK Okereke and Miami (OH) guard Peter Suder to two-way contracts. And finally, the franchise agreed to Exhibit 10 deals with Kyle III, St. Louis forward Robbie Avila and Marquette guard Chase Ross.

At Syracuse, Kyle III averaged 8.4 points and a career-high 7.1 rebounds while shooting 66.1% from the field as a starter in 32 games. His career-high 2.5 blocks per game ranked second overall in the ACC and eight in the nation this season.
