Lakers’ LeBron James has hilarious opinion about NBA Play-In Tournament originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The NBA play-in tournament was nothing but incredible to watch, as we've seen a lot of high-level basketball. With the playoffs getting closer, the Los Angeles Lakers and others will continue to watch and find out who they could eventually compete against in the postseason.
Regarding the Lakers, they found themselves in it at times over the past few years. That's the tough reality of the Western Conference. Factor that in with some of the injuries the Lakers dealt with, and it isn't very surprising that they found themselves in the positions that they were in.
However, that didn't stop superstar LeBron James from saying he didn't exactly love playing in it. He said that while he's been in the play-in for a few years now, it's good to know he doesn't have to play in it right now and can just enjoy watching the games.
“I am happy because being a participant of the (expletive) play-in for some years, that I get to sit back on my couch with my wine knowing I don’t have to play until the weekend. Just sit there and just like enjoy. I’ll have one iPad with golf on and the other with the play-in. I will be so excited.
“It’s perfect. I get a week to prepare and watch and just enjoy basketball,” James said on “Mind the Game.”
James and the Lakers will have a very tough task in the first round against a good Houston Rockets team. The series will start on Saturday night in Los Angeles. The Lakers are the four seed in the Western Conference.
