The energy inside Madison Square Garden was infectious as the New York Knicks went up 2-0 on Thursday. Josh Hart led the way as he posted a playoff career high of 26 points in the Knicks’ 109-93 victory over the Cavaliers.

On social media, Knicks supporters piled on the Cavaliers fanbase as their squad now holds all the momentum in this year’s Eastern Conference Finals.

“Josh Hart smoking the Cavs pack tonight”
“The Cavs lost to Josh Hart”

“josh hart spent the entire night moving like he had unlimited stamina turned on”

“Josh Hart just sent the Cavs home crying. Career night in the ECF. Knicks up 2-0 and rolling”

“Yes the Cavs are getting swept. The blew their chance when the folded in game one!!!”

“Cavs shouldn’t be in the eastern conference finals bro”

With the game down to its final seconds, the hometown crowd broke out in a resounding “Knicks in four” chant to further torment the Cavaliers.

Under the bright lights of “The World’s Most Famous Arena” in Game 2, the Cavs had a solid start in the first quarter but steadily faltered afterwards. Cleveland finished with 38.8% FG shooting, going 25.7% from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, Hart had plenty of assistance in the Knicks’ dominant performance Tuesday night. Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges posted 19 points apiece, Karl-Anthony Towns had a double-double performance with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and OG Anunoby chipped in 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

As if to send a message that the Knicks aren’t sweating the Cavs at the moment, Josh Hart pulled up to the post-game media availability with a pizza in hand.

With the microphones already turned on, Hart’s nonchalant question to Karl-Anthony Towns was heard loud and clear.

“Are you a crust guy?” Hart asked KAT.

Hart, of course, will set aside all antics when the Knicks take on the Cavaliers at Rocket Arena for Game 3.
