The New York Knicks let the hometown fans down at Madison Square Garden on Saturday as they fell behind 36-20 after the first quarter of play before falling 115-93 against their Atlantic Division rivals.

New York leads the series two games to one heading into Game 4 on Monday night in New York City, a pivotal contest ahead of Wednesday's Game 5 in Boston.

Following the game, fans attempted to make sense of key topics, including Knicks center Mitchell Robinson's struggles at the free throw line, where he went 4-for-12 on the evening.

The end of the game included a surprising scene as Knicks players walked off the court in a way that raised red flags among some members of the team's fanbase.

The X page New York Basketball shared video of Knicks players walking off the court in a dejected fashion after the loss, refusing to shake hands with Celtics players and turning heads among the page's 79,000 plus followers.

"Not worried at all," a fan said after viewing the video.

"Feel bad for everyone who spent their hard earned money to watch that disgrace," another said.

"Played soft, played scared, just a terrible game by them," another fan said.

"Sleepy performance by a soft team today. Might as well not even showed up to the arena," another fan said, keeping with the theme of disappointment and dejection.

The Knicks got 27 points from star point guard Jalen Brunson on Saturday, but it wasn't enough.

If the Knicks' postgame mannerisms are any indication, they know the enormous magnitude of the challenge that awaits them on Monday night against a Celtics team that found its stride on Saturday.
