One of the bigger “what-ifs” of the last 30 years when it comes to Kentucky basketball is just how far the 2003 Wildcats could have gone if Keith Bogans had not suffered a severely sprained ankle.

That 2003 team was both the SEC regular season (16-0) and tournament champ, losing in the Elite Eight to a Marquette team led by future NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade.

Bogans was certainly not at full strength during that tournament run and as a solid defender, who knows what could have been if he had been at 100%.

23 years later, Bogans is in Lexington on Kentucky’s campus as his son is set to graduate this weekend.

He made a stop to see head coach Mark Pope and newly announced assistant coach Mo Williams.

Bogans was also around the UK practice facility yesterday.

Keith Bogans toured the Kentucky Basketball practice facility today while in town for his son's graduation, stopping in the equipment room to pay tribute to Bill Keightley.
