Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats have made it a point of emphasis to get a veteran point guard out of the transfer portal this offseason. They have already contacted some of the top available players, and now they have set up a visit with Zoom Diallo, formerly of the Washington Huskies.

Diallo told Kentucky Sports Radio that he will be taking a visit to Lexington this weekend, starting on Friday. He is one of the top point guards available, and was targeted early by Pope, who set up a Zoom call quickly after entered the portal.

Last season, Diallo averaged 15.7 points and 4.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game for Washington. His three-point shooting wasn't great, at just 31%, but it's an area he is improving in.

A former four-star recruit, Diallo has loads of talent, and room for further development. Pope is certainly interested in doing that developing in Lexington. Diallo will get a chance to take in the sights this weekend, and Pope will look to make a good impression.
