Juan Soto famously left the Yankees for the Mets in free agency in December 2024 for a 15-year, $765 million contract.
One year after missing the playoffs, Soto and the Mets are in last place in the NL East, 16 games back of the Atlanta Braves, while the Yankees are in second place in the AL East, three games back of the Tampa Bay Rays.
Soto was asked by NJ.com’s Randy Miller at the All-Star Game availability on Monday if he missed playing with Yankees superstar Aaron Judge.
Soto shook his head and said, “What do you mean? I miss, like that doesn’t make sense at all,” Soto responded. “You know.”
It appears that Soto is just focusing on his time with the Mets and doesn’t want to talk about Judge after they helped lead the Yankees to a World Series appearance in 2024.
Still, it appears that Soto does think about his time with the Yankees at least sometimes. In January, he posted on Instagram about the monster 2024 season in which Soto and Judge combined for 99 home runs and 253 RBI.
“Juan Soto is reminiscing,” the Talkin’ Yanks X/Twitter account wrote.
In the meantime, on Monday, Soto did recall his favorite time with the Yankees.
“I have so much great memories, man,” he told Miller. “I have a great time there. We have a great time, we went to the World Series and everything.
“Probably celebrating in Cleveland was one of the greatest memories I can ever have.”

Soto, of course, hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the 10th inning of Game 5 of the 2024 ALCS to defeat the Cleveland Guardians 5-2 and send New York to the World Series.
It doesn’t look like he’ll be playing in the postseason this year, though.
