Xaverian's Michael Harden Jr. announced his commitment to play Division 1 college football at Boston College, announcing on social media on Monday, June 22.
Harden Jr., the stepson of Celtics head coach Joe Muzzulla, is a 6-2, 215-pound outside linebacker that will enter his senior campaign next fall.
He recorded 5 sacks, 54 tackles — including 7 for loss — with 1 interception, 1 forced fumble and 1 touchdown last season along Xaverian's successful pursuit of a three-peat of MIAA Division 1 state championships.
Under third-year coach Bill O'Brien, Boston College adds Harden Jr. to the 56th-ranked 2027 recruiting class in the nation, according to On3 and Rivals.
Boston College went 2-10 last season (1-7 in the ACC), bookending 10 consecutive losses with victories in the season-opener vs. FCS opponent Fordham (66-10 final) and in the season finale vs. Syracuse (34-12 final).
