After the showing he put up on Friday night against the Timberwolves in Minnesota, it is a safe assumption that LeBron James is feeling pretty good these days. James' Lakers did not win Game 3 of their first-round series, falling, 116-104, but James himself was stellar.
He finished the game with 38 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 13-for-21 from the field and 5-for-9 from the 3-point line.
But it's worth noting, of course, that James is 40 years old and has played more basketball --regular season and playoffs, combined -- than anyone in the history of the NBA. It's also worth noting that James entered the postseason with some health concerns, and was until recently a fixture on the team's injury report.

After Friday's game, though, beat writer Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported that Lakers coach JJ Redick is giving James a clean bill of health, at long last.
Wrote Buha: "JJ Redick said he thinks LeBron James is moving better each day and he needed about two weeks from his left hip flexor strain he suffered against Houston to begin looking more like himself."
James had put forth relatively modest totals in the first two games of the series, scoring 19 points in the opener and 21 in Game 2.
He had suffered a groin injury in Boston on March 8, which kept him out for two weeks. James also suffered a hip flexor injury on April 11, in the Lakers' 81st game. He sat out the season finale, which he would have likely done even if he'd been healthy.
Still, James has kept Lakers fans on edge. He was asked about playing in Game 3, and would not give much of an overall update on his health, saying, simply, "I’m available today.”
