The Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets on Monday to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Jimmy Butler returned to the lineup after missing Game 3 and played well, finishing with 27 points, five rebounds and six assists in 40 minutes.

The Warriors had five players score in double-figures in Game 4: Butler, Brandin Podziemski, Steph Curry, Buddy Hield and Quentin Post. Golden State is now one win away from advancing to the second of the playoffs for the first time since 2023.

Butler and Hield are playing in their first postseason with the Warriors. Golden State acquired Butler from the Miami Heat and Hield from the Philadelphia 76ers. Both players have helped the Warriors take a 3-1 lead over the Rockets, who are the second seed in the West.

Game 5 between the Warriors and Rockets is on Wednesday in Houston. Golden State won Game 1 on the road, so the team has proven it can win in a hostile environment.

Curry and Draymond Green (4-0) have never lost a postseason series to the Rockets. All signs point toward Butler, Curry, Green and Hield beating Houston to advance to the second round.
