Jeffrey Lurie said the Philadelphia Eagles are exploring future stadium plans, noting that the process remains in its early stages, with more clarity expected within the next year. The Eagles owner made the statement at the NFL's league meetings in Phoenix, Arizona. The statement comes after the Eagles sent an email to season ticket holders with a survey about the future of the stadium, and the franchise is exploring potential updates to Lincoln Financial Field.

Lurie wants to host a Super Bowl, and that dream could hinge on the ability to add a weatherized roof to Lincoln Financial Field or, potentially, to build a new dome venue at some point.

The survey the Eagles sent to their fans about a potential new stadium included a question on what kind of stadium they would prefer: Open Air, Canopy (Bills' new stadium), Open Air Covered (SoFi Stadium), or a Dome According to Zach Berman, the lease at Lincoln Financial Field runs through 2032 — eight more seasons, meaning a major renovation is more likely.
