The Boston Celtics asserted their dominance over the New York Knicks on Saturday to the tune of a 115-93 win at Madison Square Garden (MSG). Star guard Jaylen Brown was one of five Celtics players who scored in double figures, tallying 19 points (7-18 FG, 2-6 3 PT) with six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block in 36 minutes.
The 28-year-old played fewer minutes than he did in Games 1 and 2, as Boston didn't need him as much. It blew 20-point leads in each of the first two contests, losing Game 1 108-105 in overtime and Game 2 91-90.
However, the Celtics finally played like the defending champions in New York on Saturday. Brown commented on Knicks fans and the environment at MSG after the game, via SNY.

"I thought it was a great atmosphere tonight," the 2024 NBA Finals MVP said. "New York always has that aura, so [many] celebrities in the house...Great environment for basketball, and it was fun. The first half was fun, the second half was even more fun. So looking forward to Game 4."
Boston cruised to a 36-20 lead after the first quarter and never let up in the blowout victory.
After shooting 25-100 from deep across the first two games, the Celtics shot 20-40 on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Knicks were 5-25 from downtown.
Boston and New York will play Game 4 at MSG on Monday before traveling back to TD Garden for Game 5 on Wednesday. If necessary, they will play Game 6 at MSG.
