The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to experiment with different offensive line combinations in training camp.
We've already seen Anton Harrison getting opportunities at left tackle while Cole Van Lanen is sidelined, with Walker Little then taking snaps at right tackle.
"I think he’s done a nice job," Liam Coen said of Harrison. "It’s part of what we’ve done, moving those guys around and seeing what sticks and if that ends up sticking, hopefully that’s a good thing for us."
However, during Thursday's practice, the amount of movement was kicked up a few notches.
According to John Shipley of Jaguars on SI, this included Wyatt Milum seeing snaps at right tackle, with Little at right guard. Chuma Edoga got some right tackle snaps as well.
A third configuration on the right side of the line included Milum at tackle with rookie Emmanuel Pregnon at guard.
In part, the Jaguars do this to foster competition, but the cross-training also prepares them in the event that injuries occur, giving the team more flexibility because they have more options.
We will see if any of these combinations carry over moving forward. One area in particular that could give the Jaguars' offense another boost in 2026 is the play of the offensive line unit in the run game.
When it comes to offensive line play, the sum of the unit is greater than any one individual player. Ultimately, the Jaguars are searching for the best configuration of five players that work best together, creating a cohesive unit.
