The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly signed long-snapper Ross Matiscik to a contract extension.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars and Matiscik have agreed to a two-year extension worth $3.8 million in new money.
Matiscik is now the NFL's highest-paid long-snapper. The 2026 season was set to be the final year of his deal, but he is now under contract through 2028.
Matiscik made the 2025 AFC Pro Bowl team, making it the third consecutive year he received that honor.
According to the Jaguars team site, "Matiscik has played 123 special teams snaps (in 2025) and made four tackles, tied for second in the league among long snappers."
He also was named a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and a second-team All-Pro in 2024.
With this extension, the Jaguars keep their high-powered special teams core intact. Punter Logan Cooke signed a contract extension last year, while kicker Cam Little still has two years remaining on his rookie deal.
