Milwaukee Brewers sensation Jacob Misiorowski will miss one of the biggest moments of his young career after arm fatigue forced him to skip both his scheduled start Sunday against Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes and the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.

The Brewers scratched the 24-year-old right-hander from the finale of their three-game series at PNC Park, ending what had been one of the most anticipated pitching matchups of the weekend. Misiorowski’s absence also means he will not participate in Tuesday night’s Midsummer Classic at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Despite the setback, Misiorowski and the Brewers remain optimistic the issue is minor. The hard-thrower said he will not require a stint on the injured list and expects to return to the rotation following the All-Star break.

“It stinks to miss a start and the All-Star Game, but I know it’s the right thing to do in this situation,” Misiorowski said. “My arm is a little tired.”

Missing the opportunity to square off against Skenes, one of baseball’s premier young pitchers, was another disappointment for the Brewers’ emerging star.

“Even if I were pitching against someone off the street, I’d be disappointed not to pitch,” Misiorowski said. “It doesn’t matter who I’m pitching against.”

Misiorowski has quickly established himself as one of the game’s most electric arms during his breakout rookie campaign. He enters the All-Star break with a 10-4 record, a sparkling 1.62 ERA and 167 strikeouts in 111 innings across 18 starts.

His overpowering fastball has been unlike anything seen in the majors this season. Misiorowski leads all qualified starting pitchers with an average four-seam fastball velocity of 100.5 mph and has already thrown an MLB-leading 670 pitches at 100 mph or faster.

The Brewers are taking a cautious approach with one of the cornerstones of their future, prioritizing his long-term health over a single start and an All-Star appearance.

While fans will have to wait a little longer to see Misiorowski back on the mound, Milwaukee expects its young flamethrower to return shortly after the All-Star break as the club continues its push toward the postseason.
