The Islanders are bringing back Tony DeAngelo for two more years, the team announced on Friday.
DeAngelo will earn $4.5M on each year of the pact, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The 30-year-old was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
DeAngelo instead elects to remain on the Island, where he's made a nice home for himself over the past two seasons after a brief stint in the KHL following a buyout from the Hurricanes.
The d-man topped the 30-point mark last year for the first time since the 2022-23 campaign.
New York's blueline should be set for the most part now with DeAngelo sliding back in alongside star youngster Matthew Schaefer, Scott Mayfield, Ryan Pulock, Adam Pelech, Alexander Romanov, and Isaiah George.
