UK to re-evaluate Mary Poppins due to 2 instances of a racial slur:

I'll admit, I had no idea that was a racial slur, although one could infer that based on context.

But this is a pretty stupid article IMO. Not only was the movie from 1964, it actually takes place in 1910. The UK ratings board is trying to determine if the slur will affect children or not.

People have brought it up before due to blackface of the chimney sweeps and due to some of the wording in the film and also in the Poppins books.
