He has made so much magic on the pitch that cannot be summarized in numbers but instead simply needs to be experienced to be known.
And now, the 2026 World Cup Final has arrived. Argentina vs. Spain, with a chance for Messi to repeat.

Is Lionel Messi playing today?
Barring a shocking lineup decision, Messi will be in Argentina's starting 11 to take on Spain in Sunday's World Cup Final.
The match will be played in New Jersey in the United States and kick off at 3 p.m. local time.
Argentina is going for the first World Cup championship repeat in more than 60 years.
Messi doesn't need a victory in this match to convince most people that he's the greatest of all time. He already has lots of believers.
But if he triumphs, and if he does it in spectacular fashion, he will enhance his case as one of the greatest athletes in the history of sports.
