After sophomore Callie Levin revealed on Monday evening that she'd be departing the Hawkeyes' program, giving Iowa women's basketball its third portal entrant in the last week, fans quickly rushed to social media to share their reactions.
In her two seasons in Iowa City, the 5-foot-9 guard and 2024 Ms. Iowa basketball award winner from Solon High School in Solon, Iowa, appeared in 29 career games, scoring 25 points, grabbing 17 rebounds, dishing 15 assists, and registering nine steals.
Given that Levin was a passionate advocate of everything Iowa, despite her position on the depth chart, Hawkeye fans reciprocated their support as the talented guard seeks a new chapter in her collegiate career with two years of eligibility remaining.

Thank you for all the joy & Hawkeye pride that you & your family have brought to us the past two years, Callie! It was a pleasure to watch you play, work hard & be the best of teammates. Sad to see you go, but best of luck! As you said, you'll always be a Hawkeye. pic.twitter.com/OteirxHddF

I’m sad to see you go. I liked your style of play the first time I watched you on the court. Go chase your dreams! I loved your enthusiasm on the sidelines and the hustle you showed on the court. Excited to see where you land!

Ever since her high school days, Callie’s been one of my favorites to cover!
Just a wonderful young woman who loves the Lord, is a model teammate, and always seems to be having the time of her life; whether she’s on the floor or the bench.
She’ll be missed in the Hawkeye locker… https://t.co/yljAC4q8Nx

I'm really going to miss Callie Levin. The joy she brought to the game, the way she cheered for her teammates, & the grace in which she handled her situation truly shows her depth of character & integrity. I wish she were staying, but I understand why she's not. Go be great 32.
