Vanessa Bryant and her eldest daughter, Natalia, are remembering Kobe and Gianna six years after they both passed away.
On Monday, January 27, Vanessa, 43 — who also shares daughters Bianka, 9, and Capri, 6, with Kobe — reposted a photo of the Los Angeles Lakers player with a young Gianna on her Instagram Story that was originally shared by a fan account.
In the picture, the NBA star is wearing a t-shirt from the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2009 NBA championship, with his arms resting on Gianna, who is also dressed in Lakers colors and apparel. Vanessa added two red hearts to the image.

As for Natalia, 23, she also shared a snap of the Basketball Hall of Famer and Gianna on her Instagram Story, adding a red heart emoji. The photo appears to have been taken on a basketball court, and Kobe’s arms are wrapped around his little girl.
As Globe previously reported, Kobe and Gianna perished in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020, while flying from Orange County, California, to Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks, California. All nine people on board, including the pilot, died as the helicopter crashed into the side of a mountain in Calabasas.

In November 2025, Vanessa released a book titled Mamba & Mambacita Forever, which, according to its description, “brings together the images and stories of more than a hundred murals honoring her husband and daughter.”
“As difficult as it was to work on this book due to the painful reminder it represents, I’m glad I did it,” she told People ahead of the book’s release. “This book gives us an opportunity to look back on them forever.”
