Tom Brady doesn’t expect Mike Vrabel to shy away from the New England Patriots entering Super Bowl LX as underdogs.

Las Vegas favors the Seattle Seahawks, and many pundits agree. Brady believes that will only give Vrabel and the Patriots ammunition for Sunday.

Brady told Colin Cowherd on Tuesday that he expects Vrabel to motivate his players by showing them public skepticism of the Patriots.

“Knowing Vrabel, he’s probably got every bit of underdog material up everywhere,” Brady predicted. “We were 14-point underdogs in 2001. Vrabs was part of that team. Believe me. Colin, if you picked the Seahawks, I’m sure he’s going to be telling the entire team that Colin Cowherd picked the Seahawks.”

These Patriots aren’t as big of longshots as the squad that upset the St. Louis Rams 14 years ago. Yet they have shocked plenty of fans by making the Super Bowl following consecutive four-win seasons.

Brady, who has drawn heat for his impartial rooting interest in Sunday’s game, celebrated his old franchise’s success under his former teammate. Even if he won’t publicly cheer for the Patriots, he’s anticipating a competitive matchup at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

“We’re underdogs. That’s just the mentality, and that’s just OK,” Brady said. “Someone’s got to be that. Patriots have had an incredible season, and what they’ve done has surprised everybody … They certainly deserve to be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. It’s gonna be a great game.”
