On Saturday night, Leagues Cup soccer continues with Toluca of Liga MX taking on LAFC of the MLS. The Leagues Cup tournament provides soccer fans with a chance to enjoy intense action between American and Mexican teams, a historic rivalry in the soccer world, with huge bragging rights at stake.

Toluca is off to a strong start in this Apertura campaign, boasting six points through three matches. Early on in the season, Toluca has two wins and one loss in the Liga MX campaign, and a plus-three goal differential. Most recently, Toluca got its Leagues Cup campaign started off with a bang, defeating MLS side the Seattle Sounders, 3-0, in what was a resounding victory. Leading off the scoring for Toluca was Jesus Gallardo, who scored in the third minute, followed by Helinho, who scored in the 64th minute, and capped off by Federico Viñas three minutes into second-half stoppage time.
LAFC, meanwhile, sits second on the MLS table with 34 points in 19 matches, courtesy of a 10-4-5 record on the season. LAFC has a plus-16 goal differential in MLS action this campaign. Most recently, LAFC opened its Leagues Cup with a win over Mexican soccer giants Chivas de Guadalajara. LAFC and Chivas de Guadalajara were tied 1-1 to end regulation, before LAFC won 5-4 in penalties. Scoring for LAFC in the matchup was Denis Bouanga, who scored in the 38th minute.
