The 2026 Little League Softball World Series gets underway on Sunday. In one of the games, Toms River Little League from Toms River, New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic Region representative, will take on Kinki Softball Little League from Sango, Japan, the Asia-Pacific Region representative.

The New Jersey team defeated a team from Pennsylvania 5-3 in the qualification round to advance, while the Japanese team defeated a team from the Philippines in a best-of-three series.
This game is part of the Purple Bracket. The winner moves on to face the team from Puerto Rico in the next round, while the loser will have to fight for its life in the elimination bracket to stay alive in this year’s competition.
The Little League Softball World Series is held in Greenville, North Carolina, and takes place from Aug, 2 to Aug. 9, 2026.
