The Guardians are coming off a three-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers, which saw them fall two games to one. Cleveland lost game one 2-1 and game two 9-4, before taking game three 4-2. In the game three victory, second baseman Travis Bazzana led the way, going 1-for-3 with a solo home run and drawing two walks. DH Kyle Manzardo also had a solo home run, helping lift Cleveland to victory. Former Florida State standout pitcher Parker Messick had a great outing in the win, throwing six innings, striking out nine batters, and giving up just two earned runs.

The Astros, meanwhile, are coming off a series victory over the Detroit Tigers, losing game one 9-3 before winning game two 4-2 and game three 4-2. In Wednesday’s win over Detroit, Houston was led by star shortstop Jeremy Peña, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBIs. Starting pitcher Peter Lambert threw seven strong innings, striking out five, walking none, and giving up just two hits and one earned run.
