The Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX, wraps up on Sunday, with Eric Cole entering the final day with the lead.
Saturday was a huge day for Cole, who shot a seven-under 63 to jump 24 spots in the event standings. He’s now the solo leader at 12-under par.
Right behind him is Ryan Gerard, who shot a 64 in the first round. He hasn’t been quite that good in the other two rounds so far, but he still sits at 11-under par. Tied for third at 10-under par are Mac Meissner and J.J. Spaun.
Meanwhile, the leader entering Saturday, Jordan Smith, watched his hopes of winning the tournament evaporate on Saturday. Smith shot a 65 in both the first and second rounds, but on Saturday, he had one of the worst rounds in the entire field, shooting a 74. It was by far the worst showing of anyone still in contention to win.
Other notable names on the leaderboard include Ludvig Aberg in a tie for 12th and Max Homa in a tie for 46th.
