Thirteen years later, Max Holloway will finally get his rematch against Conor McGregor.
The two former world champions will headline International Fight Week at UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the UFC confirmed Saturday.
Holloway (27-9, 23-9 UFC) will welcome McGregor (22-6, 10-4) back to the UFC for the first time since 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier twice in a six-month span.
McGregor broke his shin in the second loss to Poirier.
Holloway retired Poirier in July 2025 when he won by unanimous decision in Poirier’s hometown of New Orleans.
McGregor, who is responsible for the biggest pay-per-view fights in UFC history according to buys, has won only once since 2016, when he defeated Eddie Alvarez by TKO to become a world champion in two weight classes.
McGregor won a unanimous decision over Holloway in August 2013 and went on to become a champion at featherweight (145 pounds) and lightweight (155 pounds).
His four losses in the UFC are to Poirier (twice), Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Holloway won 13 consecutive fights after the loss to McGregor and won and defended the UFC featherweight title.
He will fight four months after losing a unanimous decision to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326.
The event will be broadcast on Paramount+.
