Highlights, updates from Commanders joint practice vs Dolphins

The Washington Commanders had their first true test of training camp on Wednesday, as the Miami Dolphins came to Ashburn for a joint practice. It was the first-ever joint practice held at Washington's Ashburn facility.

Head coach Dan Quinn spoke with the media ahead of practice, outlining the rules of the joint practice, what he was looking for, what Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley was looking for, and how he instructed NFL officials to enforce penalties as if it were a game.

The joint practice, in many ways, was more important than Friday's preseason opener. Each team's healthy starters participated in the practice, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll play in Friday's game.

Jayden Daniels​

- Daniels hits Burks in stride on a corner route in double coverage for what would’ve been a 40 + yard gain… huge blitz pick up by Bill on Jordyn Brooks to buy time

Just wrapped up WR/DB 1 on 1s and Washington’s WRs clearly won. Diggs had some really pretty catches, and Antonio Williams had a sick juke at the LOS. Burks ended things with a TD catch
