Word here is that the pick will be used to draft Dewayne Roberston.

It's a puzzling trade because the Jets were supposedly angling for Andre Johnson, but they didn't get in front of Houston, who's supposedly hot for Andre.

So in other words, this trade has no impact on the Cards because we expected Chicago to draft Robertson in this slot anyway.

Ellis Island is the greatest thing I've ever had the chance to visit.....tomorrow, the draft!

Updates throughtout the day, starting at (gulp) 7 AM when we get in line.

It affects our 2nd rounder because the Jets will not be taking a WR. What do you think of the offer on the table for the Cards? I say HELL NO!

I am of the mind that the Cardinals need a GAME CHANGER. If that's Suggs, or Newman, or whoever, take that player at 6.

Guys in the 17-19 range like Faine or some of the lesser CB prospects are not going to be impactful, they'll be nice hard-working players.

That said, I won't be unhappy if we trade down. Either strategy (staying put or trading down) has advantages.

Ed, I fully expect you to do sumpin' outrageous to get on television. I think a full-fledged brawl between Giants fans and Jets fans would be well worth 20 or stiches you'd get for instigating the whole thing. go for it man! it'd be the first blow struck by the cards on draft day in years!

I read somewhere today that one NFL personnel guy has a list of only 9 players this year who he thinks are of the impact variety.

Ed - If you have access to high-speed or DSL line at the draft or back at the hotel, don't forget that you can listen "live" to KDUS from 11am EST on...
