Helena High rolls past Glacier girls

Feb. 28—Helena High raced to a fast start and never looked back, defeating Glacier 64-32 in Western AA girls basketball on Friday evening. Lauryn Lieberg led the Bengals (10-9 overall, 8-6 in Western AA games) with 17 points, Cassidy Smith added 16 and Dakota Lieberg chipped in 11. For Glacier (1-17, 0-13), Karley Allen scored nine, Cassidy Daniels added two triples to score eight total, and Olivia Warriner contributed seven in the third period. The Wolfpack hit four 3-pointers but struggled to keep pace with Helena's balanced attack. L. Lieberg and Smith combined for 23 first half points to give Helena High an 38-16 advantage at halftime.
