Grading Matt Miller's 7-Round NFL Mock Draft for the Bucs

The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh next April, a city that could be where the Bucs select the next star they add to their roster in hopes of righting the proverbial ship. Before next April, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft. Thankfully, we now have some added context for players now that the scouting combine has come and gone.

ESPN's Matt Miller recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle, and he went crazy and selected all seven rounds. The Bucs in this mock draft landed the following players:

• Round 1: C.J. Allen, LB, Georgia
• Round 2: T.J. Parker, Edge Rusher, Clemson
• Round 3: Jalon Kilgore, CB, South Carolina
• Round 4: LT Overton, Edge/DL, Alabama
• Round 5: Michael Trigg, TE, Baylor
• Round 6: Eric Rivers, WR, Georgia Tech
• Round 7: Luke Altmeyer, QB, Illinois

We wanted to grade the mock for a change and are giving it a B average. The best pick is getting T.J. Parker to pair with Yaya Diaby in the edge group. It is a good value for a player who was seen as a top ten overall pick during the Summer. The reach in the mock is CJ Allen in round one, but had they gotten him in Round 2, it would've made this an A draft.

The rest of the picks address depth needs and are players we believe could have a role on the team in some fashion.
