The final countdown to the start of the 2026 Kentucky football season is on with just 27 days to go until their first game on Sep. 5. As we count the days down, we are also getting to know the players who will make up this year's team. Today we are taking a look at No. 27, Isaiah McMillian.
McMillian is a 6'1", 176 lb cornerback out of Katy, Texas. As a recruit in the 2026 class, he was rated three stars by 247Sports, and ranked as the No. 634 overall player in their composite rankings. As a talented player, he had multiple offers, including Pitt, Houston, Mississippi State, and the Wisconsin Badgers among others, but he chose the Wildcats.
A tremendous athlete, McMillian played both defense and special teams in high school. He also ran track, with some very fast 100-meter dash times. His combination of length and speed help make him the quality prospect that he is.
As he heads into his freshman season, McMillian is expected to provide depth, and gain some experience in the system. Kentucky has dealt with injuries at cornerback in the past few seasons, so working hard to be ready just in case is certainly in the plan. Then, with some development, McMillian could become a key player veery quickly.
