A German soccer fanatic is traveling across the country for the World Cup − Foxborough is next on the docket.

An X user who goes by the username "FreddyLA7" packed his bag for a 6-week voyage across the United States and Canada to follow Germany in the World Cup earlier this month. As of Monday, June 23, he had reached Berlin, Ohio, with six days of travel remaining ahead of Germany's Round of 32 game at Boston Stadium.

"Since we have 7 days to get there, we decided not to take the direct route and instead make a huge detour through Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and a few other states," he said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). "Any recommendations for places or cities to visit along the way are very welcome!"

Once he's out of the Midwest, his tentative route also passes through New York, Vermont and New Hampshire before making it to Massachusetts.

Who is FreddyLA7

The anonymous poster used a photo of Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. He has gained tens of thousands of followers on X as he explores Buc-ee's and Auburn stadium.

Freddy's journey across the states so far has been positive, as he's been taking in American culture and sharing his favorite moments online along the way.

"The amount of times we’ve eaten at Taco Bell during this trip already is probably not good," he said on X.

The World Cup trip starts tomorrow

Baggage all packed for 6 weeks in the USA and Canada. Travelling with hand luggage only, and 90% of it is jerseys.

Tomorrow we’ll fly to Dublin, and after a 24-hour layover we’ll arrive in Atlanta on Friday. pic.twitter.com/a2jsivlxPq
