Scott Wedgewood desperately wanted to stay in one place after such a nomadic NHL career. He really liked it here in Arizona. Another reminder that this is a business

1/2: Spoke to Scott Wedgewood. He'll fly to Dallas later today. More on him later: "It's a business when it comes down to it. They got me for free & they got something out of me. If you look at that as a GM, they win. They got some games, they got some wins, they get a pick...

"Hopefully, if the situation comes back and I can't go anywhere else, I wouldn't be opposed to talking to them again. I'm not upset with anybody. I love living here. I love the guys, the team has always been good to me. There's no hard feelings. I just want a chance to play."

I bet the Coyotes would trade their mothers if they got a chance.

I seem to recall us giving him a chance to play NHL minutes when no other NHL team would. So, he's going to a playoff org thanks to that time to prove himself. Kudos to him for making the most of it and who knows, we may just run into him again. This is like his second go-around with us.

I was referring to how often the Coyotes have traded players in their rebuild.

This is a win, all day

He's not a good goalie - at his best he's a replacement level rotation guy they is pushing 30

Cost nothing, replaceable and got a solid pick for him?

Yeah.... Can't complain there
