Florida State's long search for a 2028 commitment has come to an end. Three-star athlete Chayse Brown has pledged to the Seminoles.
He's the nation's No. 626 overall player and the No. 29 athlete in the country per Rivals' industry rankings. In the state of Florida, he's the No. 86 prospect.
FSU held a 7-on-7 camp on Wednesday, and Brown competed at the event, which earned him a scholarship offer. It was also his first time on campus, so the Seminoles secured his commitment extremely fast.
Brown contributed as a wide receiver and a defensive back as a sophomore for Lennard High School in Ruskin, Florida. He tallied 20 receptions for 334 yards and three touchdowns. As a defensive back, Brown racked up six tackles and one interception. He is teammates with former FSU commit Mekhi Williams, who isn't closing the door on a reunion with the Seminoles, despite being committed to the Wisconsin Badgers.
Florida State is holding another camp and welcoming official visitors this weekend, and prospects like 2027 four-star safety Ta'Shawn Poole will be in attendance. Time will tell if they land another commitment.
