This is a major recruiting weekend for the Florida State Seminoles. Plenty of their top targets are currently on official visits, and 2027 four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune is arguably the most important prospect that will be in attendance.

Of course, LeJeune has a plethora of schools after him, being that he's a blue-chip recruit. With that said, FSU has been the leader in his recruitment for the last few months. In fact, they've been a constant presence for two years since they first hosted him at their Big Man Camp in June of 2024.

“Florida State is definitely leading,” LeJeune told Rivals back in April. “They’ve been with me the whole way and they’ve been so consistent. I’ve been to Florida State nine times, and every time I go back, it gets better.”

The Seminoles are the last stop on LeJeune's official visit tour, with him previously checking out the Auburn Tigers, Washington Huskies, and California Golden Bears. As they look to climb the recruiting rankings for the 2027 cycle, getting LeJeune would instantly bolster the class, with him being their highest-ranked commitment. It would also give them multiple blue-chip talents on the defensive line, along with four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro.

Defensive line coach Terrance Knighton impressed LeJeune with the way he handled things during his visit during a Florida State spring practice in March. As good as that is, it won't mean anything if they can't close LeJeune while being his top school, and doing so this weekend would be a major plus.

LeJeune is the No. 119 overall recruit and the No. 11 defensive lineman per 247Sports composite rankings. He's also the No. 5 prospect in the state of Mississippi.
