The road to Omaha is narrowing as the college baseball postseason begins, and it's win-or-go-home for programs, including Florida State baseball.
The No. 11 Seminoles (38-16, 19-11 ACC) finished the regular season with a series win over rival Miami, unable to complete the sweep with a 7-4 loss on the final day of the season. FSU enters the ACC tournament with the No. 3 seed, and because of that, they earned a double-bye and won't play until Friday, May 22.
On the Seminoles' side of the bracket are three potential first-round opponents: 14-seed Pitt, 11-seed Pitt and 6-seed Wake Forest. FSU swept both Pitt and Wake Forest this season, but has not faced Louisville.
FSU is on the bubble for a top-eight national seed, and a good run in the ACC tournament could bolster the program's case for hosting not only a regional, but potentially a super regional should the Seminoles get that far.
The action begins on Tuesday, May 19, from Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina. While the Seminoles don't play in the first two rounds, here's how you can keep an eye on potential opponents.
