Francis Ngannou has some insight on the projected mega fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Ngannou boxed both legends in his only two professional bouts. He knocked down Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) but lost a razor-thin split decision loss in October 2023, then was knocked out by Joshua (29-4, 24 KOs) in March 2024.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Joshua returns against Kristian Prenga on July 25 at "The Comeback," which is part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On the same day, it was announced that he will face Fury either the third or fourth quarter of the year on Netflix in a fight promoted by Ring Magazine.

Having fought both, Ngannou has an early lean.

"If I have to favor somebody, it's going to be very slight," Ngannou told The Schmo. "I would say Fury because he's very slick. He's done well with professional boxing. He only doesn't understand when it's not a pro boxer."

Fury recently came out of retirement and defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision earlier this month. Ngannou's (18-3) next appearance will come in the cage when he takes on Phillipe Lins in MVP's inaugural MMA event on May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.
