The nation's best 2026 class has a new weapon coming to the Land of Troy. USC landed a Louisiana four-star talent targeted by Southeastern Conference schools.
Wide receiver Roderick Tezeno Jr. is the newest Trojans pledge, with Hayes Fawcett of On3 confirming the move Wednesday evening.
"All glory to God. La to L.A.," Tezeno shared on X after he chose USC.
Tezeno stars as a 6-foot-2 downfield threat for Opelousas Catholic School. He landed 20 total offers and was once "warm" on SEC bowl contender Kentucky, per 247Sports.

College Football Playoff qualifier and SEC champ Georgia also offered. Same with Mississippi State out of the same conference. Houston and Tulane also were in the final hunt for Tezeno. Both were non-SEC programs high on the WR.
But he adds a future towering target for Lincoln Riley and the USC coaching staff. Dennis Simmons led the charge in landing Tezeno. The 2026 WR is fresh off delivering 46 catches for 1,047 yards and scoring 17 touchdowns.
Tezeno had summertime visits lined up for UK and Tulane. Houston was on deck for June 19 according to 247Sports. But he took a recent trip out to the west coast -- which was his second visit to USC. Tezeno told Gerard Martinez of 247Sports that Simmons showed him a lot of love during the latest trip.
"It was a good experience getting to see the team on the field, and the two times I went to practice it was great," said Tezeno to Martinez. "Simmons showed me at practice how detailed everything is. He broke down how they teach their receivers to run their routes and how they communicate everything."
He also enjoyed watching Riley dial up the offense when observing practice. Tezeno added to Martinez that USC envisions him lining up as an outside WR.
The native of Louisiana is now the 24th verbal commit for the No. 1 ranked recruiting class. He's joining a class that also features four-star Trent Mosley.
