Former Texas A&M Buzz Williams gets two more former Aggie players to join him at Maryland for the 2025-2026 season.
With every eligible A&M basketball player, except Christopher McDermott, entering the transfer portal, it was clear that several players would follow. Where coach Buzz Williams might have failed in the post season, he excelled in building relationships with all of his players, and they see him as a family member.
It was reported that 6'4" freshman guard Andre Mills and 6'7" freshman forward/guard George Turkson Jr will transfer to Maryland to join coach Buzz. So, while those moves were expected, new Texas A&M basketball coach Bucky McMillan was able to hold on to No. 104 recruit in the 2025 class, Jeremiah Green, when he reaffirmed his commitment to the Aggies on Thursday.
Coach Bucky still has a lot of ground to make up, but he is off to a good start. As for coach Buzz Williams, he's put together a strong transfer class littered with former Aggie players and should be able to compete immediately.
