A former Spartans big man posted an impressive showing during an NBA Summer League game on Monday.
Carson Cooper of the Memphis Grizzlies put up some solid numbers in a summer league loss to the Utah Jazz on Monday. Cooper finished the game with 10 points and six rebounds in 24 minutes of action on Monday.
Cooper has now reached double-digits in scoring in both of the summer league games he's appeared in thus far. He had 11 points and five rebounds in the Grizzlies' first game against Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.
Cooper went unselected in this year's NBA Draft but quickly found a landing spot with the Grizzlies following the draft. He signed a two-way deal with the Grizzlies that'll allow him to also play for their G-League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle.
Cooper and the Grizzlies are set to play the Atlanta Hawks in their next summer league game on Tuesday.
