Former New Orleans Saints great Joe Horn adds another honor to his standout career. The former Saints wide receiver will be inducted into the 2026 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, per a press release on Wednesday. Horn was one of eight announced in the Wednesday press release as part of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, Class of 2026:
Joe Horn played collegiately at Itawamba College from 1991 to 1992 and played for the Shreveport Pirates and Memphis Mad Dogs via CFL expansion before finally getting a shot in the NFL. He made the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted tryout in 1996 and remained with that organization until 1999. In 2000, the Saints signed him during free agency. It was one of the best free agent additions in the history of the organization.
Horn was with the Saints for seven seasons from 2000 through 2006. In those seven years, he'd make four Pro Bowls and set several single-season franchise receiving records. Horn eclipsed 1,000 yards in four of five seasons, including a then-franchise record three straight years, with another of over 970 yards. He had at least 75 receptions for five straight seasons, including two years with 94 catches.
In total, Horn caught 523 receptions for 7,622 yards and 50 touchdowns during his New Orleans career. He left after the 2006 season ranking second on the team's all-time list for receptions, receiving yardage, and touchdowns and remains third in career catches and receiving scores. In 2010, Horn was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame. In 2026, he'll officially add Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame to his list of accomplishments.
