Former Notre Dame QB Kenny Minchey flipped his verbal from Nebraska

We all may have jumped the gun on former Notre Dame quarterback Kenny Minchey landing with Nebraska through the transfer portal.

On Sunday he made a commitment to the Cornhuskers, and on Monday everything changed. The rumors started to swirl late in the day that he’d not sign with Nebraska, instead going to Kentucky.

Those turned out to be true, as Minchey flipped his commitment to the Wildcats as reported by Max Olson. As laid out before, the Cornhuskers have a returning “starter” in TJ Lateef, who filled in for the injured Dylan Raiola during the last three games of this season and the bowl game loss to Utah.

Kentucky recently lost its freshman quarterback Cutter Boley to Arizona State through the portal, and was quick to convince Minchey to flip. It’s been a rollercoaster last few days for the quarterback, as it does seem like he’s made his final decision.
