A former Nebraska quarterback has entered the transfer portal. Sophomore Daniel Kaelin is transferring after one season with the Virginia Cavaliers.

The sophomore finished the season with 330 passing yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Kaelin joined Nebraska's class of 2024 as a three-star recruit, being the No. 6 overall prospect in the state of Nebraska.

He initially committed to the Missouri Tigers before switching his commitment to the Cornhuskers. As a senior at Bellevue West High School, Kaelin threw 187-of-319 for 2,225 yards and 17 touchdowns against only six interceptions.

The quarterback will have three years of eligibility remaining.
