Former champ Cameron Davis among latest Rocket Classic commitments

Two-time Rocket Classic champion Cameron Davis headlines the newest additions to the PGA Tour event's field, announced Tuesday.

The Australian player won the 2021 tournament in a playoff, and captured his second title in 2024 by a single stroke. Davis sits as the only player to have won the classic twice since it launched in 2019, and will be making his seventh Rocket appearance this year.

Sam Burns is ranked No. 17 in the Official World Golf Ranking and will be making his third appearance in the Rocket. The five-time PGA Tour winner finished runner-up in the 2026 U.S. Open, and is also a two-time member of the U.S. Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup team.

No. 26, Akshay Bhatia will make his fourth Rocket Classic appearance this year. His most notable classic finish was in 2024 when he tied for second behind Davis. He finished tied for 26th last summer. Bhatia is a three-time PGA Tour winner, and the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational champion.

Also committing is No. 80 Sungjae Im, who has had three top-25 finishes in the Rocket, including in 2021 when he tied for eighth. This will be his first appearance since 2023 when he tied for 24th. Representing the Republic of Korea in the 2020 Olympics, he is a two-time PGA Tour winner and three-time member of the International Team at the Presidents Cup.

The Rocket Classic will be played for its eighth and final time July 30-Aug. 2 at the Detroit Golf Club.
