Philadelphia Flyers forward Owen Tippett is a warrior.

Tippett had been banged up throughout the postseason, causing him to miss the entire Round 2 series against the Carolina Hurricanes with an injury.

During the playoffs, his injury was undisclosed. The Flyers, on behalf of Tippett, have since released a statement, revealing the injury.

Tippett and the team revealed that the forward was dealing with an internal bleeding issue, sustained during the Round 1 series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It remains unclear when the issue was sustained, but the power forward remained physical throughout the series. You could see he emptied the tank in Game 6 of that series.

It had been reported multiple times that Tippett was dealing with a sports hernia as well.

Tippett expects to be ready for Flyers Training Camp in September.
